On our planet, there's about seven billion people living with us right now and that's only going to get bigger for a while.  It's interesting to see how many people can fit on the Earth right now but at the same time it's saddening to know how many of them live in poverty.  If you have an education, a home, electricity, clean water, food and access to medical services; then you're one of the richest people in the world.  If you can see this through the internet, then you're even richer than a huge percentage of people with such privileges.   Thinking about this, you slowly realize how lucky we are out of the billions of people living amongst us.  Yeah, we take things for granted all the time - first world problems, but it's knowing this stark fact that changes everything.

Taken on my D90 in Shanghai (Pudong), China and edited in Photoshop and Aperture 3.
